Product variations with an acceptable Glycemic Index can be available for liquid or wet manufacturers using HomeBlend Gourmets newest All Natural, Low Glycemic sweetener, SweetR! Gourmet for soft drinks, juices, teas, syrups, etc.
How do I label it in my products?
SugarBlend is labeled as a sugar under the nutritional guidelines given by the FDA. All calories and carbohydrates must be listed under a nutritional label, but Glycemic Index number can be listed separately outside the nutritional label. It is neither a non-nutritional sweetener nor a sugar substitute but may be referred to as a Metabolic Sweetener or Metabolic Sugar, or simply by its trademark name SugarBlend. Ingredients may be listed in order of predominance as Fructose, Lactose and natural flavorings. We also offer services assisting in nutritional labeling and glycemic index studies for your products. If preferred, we can refer you to an independent organization for glycemic studies.
What other benefits are there in using SugarBlend for manufacturing?
Because SugarBlend is made of natural sugars, SugarBlend is the only low glycemic granular sugar that will ferment for the purpose of making alcoholic beverages with a lower glycemic value and offer you inhanced Immune system as a functional food in your diet.
Does SugarBlend degrade in cooking like other synthetic sweeteners?
No. SugarBlend does not degrade in cooking, even at high heat such as candy making to hard crack stage.
